Fordson Tractor & Vehicle "Tractor" Digging a Ditch at Glen Parker's Homestead.

One of Glen Parker's many wildly innovative inventions. This one required the chassis of a vehicle (being pulled) equipped to power and run a propelled water wheel & assistance of wife, Nell. It more than likely wrote the end of the story of a perfectly good vehicle. Click for more...

Glen designed a paddle wheel that he hooked to the rear "tractor" (a conglomeration with a big motor rigged to run the paddle wheel) that Nell was "driving". Glen used his Fordson tractor in front to "pull" while Nell "followed" on tractor (contraption)  #2  from behind. Note rear "tractor" sits on a regular vehicle chassis with 4 identical wheels (and parts from who knows how many defunct structures and power supplies). It was a wild way to dig a ditch! And while Nell was always one for adventure, this one was too much, and given her "druthers" she would have been home canning or sewing. But it all worked out, and the "team" got the job done.
