Joe Ibach Stocking Lemesurier Fox Farm. Lemesurier Island, Alaska.

Newspaper account in Juneau's Stroller Weekly of Joe Ibach arriving on the "Rolf" with new boat owner William Gray. Joe & Muz busy stocking recently acquired Lemesurier Island with fox. Already successful fox farm venture with a recent shipment of furs to London bringing a good return.

Fox Farmer is Visiting Juneau

J.P. Ibach, one of the pioneer farmers of Alaska, is in town having arrived with William Gray on the launch Rolf which he formerly owned, selling it recently to Mr. Gray.

For nine years Mr. Ibach and his wife made their home on their fox ranch on Middleton Island, which is located in the Gulf of Alaska and 60 miles from Cape Hinchinbrook which was their nearest point of mainland.  Their nearest town was Cordova, which they managed to visit once each year.  Lately Mr. Ibach acquired Lemiseur Island in the Icy Straits region which he is now stocking with foxes and which he proposes to make his future home.  He lately sent a large consignment of fur to London for which he realized very satisfactory returns.

Both Ibach and Gray will take out winter supplies to their homes on the Rolf, which will probably get away early Tuesday morning.
