Annual Affidavit By Leslie Parker, "Leroy" Claim, Glacier Bay, Alaska.

Sworn labor affidavit by Leslie "Les" Parker for summer 1940 Leroy Mining Claim. 120 man-days (Les & 3 hired men) and $700 cash improvements reported. Decision made 1940 to proceed with commercial mining company due to strong gold vein. 12 yr. lease signed Feb. 10, 1941.


AFFIDAVIT OF ANNUAL   -ASSESSMENT WORK.

On this 6th  day of February,  1941, personally appeared LESLIE F.   PARKER,   to me known and known to me to be the person he represents himself to be, and who being first duly sworn,   saith:

First:    That he has personal knowledge of the facts with reference to the annual labor performed and improvements made during the year commencing at 12.00 o'clock noon July 1,  1940,    upon or for the benefit of the "LEROY QUARTZ MINING CLAIM", which said mining claim is located in the Harris Mining District, Juneau Recording Precinct, Territory of Alaska,  and is situated as follows:

This claim lies one mile S.E. from the mouth of the Ptarmigan Creek, half way between Lampugh (ed: Lamplugh) Glacier and Reid Glacier on the South Shore of Reid Inlet, in Glacier Bay, Territory of Alaska.

Second: That during the said year 1940 (120) man days of work were performed, and improvements were made upon or for the benefit of the said mining claims, the character and value of said work and improvements is $700.00.

Third: That the said labor was performed and the said improvements were made between June 1, 1940 and October 1, 194O.

Fourth: That the said work was done and the said improvements were made at the instance of LESLIE F, PARKER.

Fifth; That the actual sum paid for said work and improvements amounted to $700.O0 which amount was paid by said Leslie F. Parker to himself and three hired men.
