Location "Best Choice" By Abraham Lincoln Parker, Glacier Bay, Alaska.

Discovery & Location Notice Oct. 12 & 14, 1939 "Best Choice" by prospector Abraham Lincon Parker (age 73). Abraham stayed at "Leroy" camp when in Glacier Bay in 1939, & assisted sons Bert & Les with his uncanny ability to "fix" machinery in the operation of their claims.


NOTICE OF LOCATION OF LODE MINING CLAIM

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:  That the undersigned, having complied with all the requirements of law and the local rules and customs, has this day made discovery and thereby locates and claims 1500 linear feet north westerly and 600 feet south easterly, as allowed by law.

This claim shall be known as the BEST CHOICE Lode Claim, and is more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the discovery and running thence.

300 feet northwesterly to the Post no. 1 Center end; thence

300 feet northeasterly to the northeasterly corner; thence

1500 feet Southeasterly to the southeasterly corner; thence

600 feet southwesterly to the southwesterly corner; thence

1500 feet northwesterly to the northwesterly corner; thence

300 feet to post to the no. 1 comer; thence to place of

beginning.

This claim is located In the Juneau mining District about 3/4 mile south of Reid Glacier and about 1/3 mile from the south shore of Reid Inlet.
