"Lincoln" Lode Claim; Abraham Lincoln Parker, Glacier Bay, Alaska.

Location notice of "Lincoln" lode claim located October 7, 1938 about 1/2 mi. from mouth of Ptarmigan Creek by prospector Abraham Lincoln Parker (age 72). Witnessed by Albert "Bert" & Jennie Parker and recorded in Juneau, Territory of Alaska November 21, 1938.


NOTICE OF LOCATION OF LODE MINING CLAIM

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:  That the undersigned, having complied with all the require­ments of law and the local rules and customs, has this day made discovery and thereby loc­ates and claims 1500 linear feet extending 600 feet in width this notice is posted, as allowed by law.

This claim shall be known as the LINCOLN Lode Claim, and is more particularly des­cribed as follows: Commencing at the discovery and running thence.

750 feet .Southerly to the southerly Center end; thence

300 feet Westerly to the southwesterly corner; thence

1500 feet Northerly to the northwesterly corner; thence

600 feet Easterly to the north Easterly corner; thence

150O feet Southerly to the south Easterly corner; thence

300 feet Westerly to the place of begining.

This claim is located in the Juneau mining District situated about 1/2 mile from the mouth of Ptharmigan (ed: Ptarmigan) creek and about 1 mile easterly from Lampugh (ed: Lamplugh) Glacier and about 1 mile westerly from Reid Glacier on the South Shore of Reid Inlet.
