101  Leslie Parker At The Leroy Gold Mine With Cook; Glacier Bay, Alaska.
  • Date: 1942 (Estimate)
  • Description: "Les" Parker (Rt) at Ptarmigan Creek, new Juneau cook Leola, & miner Mike Seiler (with axe). Miners were in "7th heaven" at the prospect of homemade bread & goodies. Between cooks they were on their own causing grumbling in the camp. Barrel on wheeled cart in background.

107  Strategic WWII Charles Parker Cabin. Glacier Bay Monument, Alaska.
  • Date: 1950 - 1959
  • Description: Built early 1940's on the shores of Lake Independence (now Bartlett Lake) to serve as a "safe house" in case of Japanese invasion. From this well-stocked, birds-eye-view location, the U. S. Government could be kept informed of enemy movement by "under-cover" Charles Lincoln Parker.
